Radionomics

Hello Pune!!! Thank you for tuning into your favorite Radio Channel 99.9FM...Lines like this have become a part of Indian Lives in the morning, evening and before going to sleep….Radio or better said as FM radio has transformed the world of entertainment in India….earlier in the 1990s there is to be only a single player in the radio sector i.e. All India Radio…..but post globalization in late 1999 suddenly the world seems to have understood the potential of radio….I still remember the days when I used to play my favorite cassette while driving but now a days I tune into my favorite radio channel when driving….

Radio as a mode of entertainment has evolved in the past few years….It is not only posing as one of the best form of entertainment but as well ringing the cash registers of these FM players…It is also a form of entertainment which is available to the masses…a Fm radio is available for only Rs50 or $1.5 which u can use to listen to songs all day long without any further expenditure….

To the Marketers, a form of with which masses can be reached without spending much….just the right time and the right program is needed to air your advertisement and influence people….Today most of the revenue of the FM players are coming from all form of advertisements on Radio….The advertisements on these FM channels are highly localized due to which people are able to relate to them…The revenue from advertising on radio is so appealing to these FM players, that as many as 10 advertisements are aired before a song….If this goes on for a longer period of time I m sure there won’t be any song on these FM channels and only we would be listening to advertisements all day long….Advertisements as a part of these FM Channels are necessary coz it help the FM players to generate the variable cost at least in the short run…coz they have to take license from the music companies to air the songs and these needs a huge cash register….a large potential lures in this sector of FM channels radio which can be tapped by the Marketing dept of any company to maintain the Brand Visibility(in terms of making the Brand Speak)….Putting a lot of advertisements on a FM channel is again like walking on a sword coz it can prove disastrous to the Radio Partners in the way that people will move to other FM channels which airs more of songs than advertisement…..

How and When to tap this large advertising market on radio merely lies in the hands of the FM Players coz they have to decide when to air these advertisements without a fall on the customer ratings of Radio….

An Educational Dilemma

At 12’o’clock in the afternoon I sat in a gloomy classroom to solve a question which can make or break my life. Is the question that I was solving so important that it can decide my future. Probably not but the situation when I was solving the question made it a serious affair. Well I was in an examination hall giving my 1st Semester MBA exam.

MBA? And Exam? Doesn’t it sound very unnatural or out of the blue? If you also think so then I believe that our Education System needs restructuring. Well India might have produced geniuses and entrepreneurs which help in boasting of our education system. But does our education system really help in producing them.

Well if you think a course like MBA where managerial skills are imparted and how to take important decisions while climbing your corporate ladder is there any need of the exam? Well this can be easily judged through out the year though case studies, Presentations, Putting the student in real life situations where he has to take real life decisions. Well these do take part in B-Schools but at the end of to prove your mettle you have to sit for an exam to score major marks which plays an important part in your placements. In a course like MBA is there any need for exam…I don’t think so and I believe most of the people reading this article will also think so.

This is a high time when major restructuring of our education system be done or else it may be possible that few years down the line we will me producing a bunch of lunatics who know the only thing “rote” and not good managers from the B-Schools.

Well as a student of a reputed B-School I will give my suggestions on how to restructure our education system in the next posting after completing my so called “examinations”.

Radio Mirchi AD

This in one of the branding strategies that I heard on Radio Mirchi 93.9FM in Pune…..I really liked the way they made a catchy tagline…the ad goes like this:::::

The VP declares the yearly report of his company

VP-“This year we are into heavy losses”
Audience: Applauds
VP-“despite the whole industry showing a growth rate of 25% we have consistently maintained a Negative growth rate of 32%”
Audience- Applauds again
VP-“No dividends for our share holders”
Audience: applauds and whistles
VP-“we are also planning to sell our Fixed assets”
Audience- Applauds again
VP-“we are also laying off people- the complete staff of our company”
Audience- Applauds again
VP-“In other terms our company is BANKRUPT”
Audience- Applauds again and whistles and shouts in enjoyment

TAGLINE-“Mirchi Sunne walein always KUSH”

What a nice way to create a niche for Radio Mirchi and keep the viewers hooked on Mirchi……

FRIENDLESS

The current world or the society is termed as “kalyug”…Its so true that in this world the word of friend has lost its true meaning and only SELF has remained….As I look into the different people I see a sense of SELF satisfaction, there is no one to help others….People are so busy with their own self gratification that they forget about others….If u even go to your buddy whom u consider your good friend at the time of need or for a simple advice don’t get surprised if you don’t get the right response or he ignores you….This is “kalyug”….I look and think why people are behaving in such a way that they don’t have time for others even….Is self more than society….every other person in today’s world have dual personalities….One to show in front of others(which is always a false one) and the other which he uses to fulfill SELF(always demonic)….As of there is no true person left in this world…I think why are people scared of showing their real side to others and why do they behave in such a diplomatic way?....why people are running after own personal gratification and behave as if they are running in a marathon where there is only one winner?.....
May be all of my questions will remain unanswered in this life…..But I pledge today that if possible I won’t be the way I am and will develop my other side soon to show that how good I am in front of the world and back stab them……One last thing I want to say that if people remember that in this world all are equal and there is no rat race the world would be a better place to live in…..

Diluted Emotions

Emotions speak words which can't be spoken by human beings...emotions transcends everything to bond people around the world irrespective of their background.....emotions bonds mother and child, friends, partners, husband and wife etc....but wht is this emotion?....is it a kind of special feeling for someone or a general feeling.....

But now a dayss this emotion has only left as a selfish feeling which doesn't bond anyone rather than ur ownself....people has forgot the emotional aspect of their life and haas turned into a hardcore selfish animal.....people's world surrounds only around their own respective reasons and they try to convert the world according to their own needs.....why do people run for money, self fame when they can't keep the emotional touch wth their parents even...i see so much artificialness in the society...poeple making frnds for their own benefit, people breaking frnds for their selfishness.....people falling in false love for their status....the people have started over-looking the pain of other people for own benefits....these days when people talk i see so much artificialness....the laugh is also artificial.....the words has to be artificial......everyone trying to prove that "THEY ARE THE BEST" forgetting the underlying emotions that really make them....i see parents of many people thrown out of their own houses by their children coz their children have diluted emotions and they are to engrossed in self......
When will these diluted emotions become so strong that they bond all the people of the world and people live of others rather than their self....well i think its a Hope Against Hope......

SPIRITUAL ECSTASY

Ecstasy- a height of emotional state where you forget everything to enjoy the fruit of enjoyment....well r u thinking of some kind of drug....no recently when i visited ISKCON,Pune with a friend of mine i noticed a different kind of ecstasy.

This ecstasy was totally different fom the usual ones we have...This ecstasy was a SPIRITUAL ECSTASY between man and the God...i was astonished to see there how man can love God so much that they get an immense pleasure in worshipping him. As I entered ISKCON I was a bit sceptical about my visit...i could see a lecture given by Shri Chaitanya Prabhu to the youth about leaving material world and chanting HARE KRISHNA and worshipping God...By the way the devotees of ISKCON call each other as Prabhu...Half-heartedly i sat to hear the lecture that spoke about the ill-effects of advertising and their influence in the society...Being a Marketing(MBA) student myself i thought like bashing him up...He spoke something about HARI stuff…I never felt like listening to him….But later I realized that he was telling the truth…but I can’t forgive him for what he talked about Advertising…

Then after a mixture of heavy and light heart I went to see the “AARTI” i.e. the Puja given to the Lord Krishna in the evening…There I experienced a complete different picture…as the aarti started all the devotees starting singing songs for Lord Krishna….Not only singing they were dancing…I have never seen such joy and excitement in any person during the Puja’s…Everyone there was experiencing a kind of personal ecstasy with Lord Krishna…they were dancing in circles, sometimes breaking it and dancing a solo dance with hands up in the air(this is a dance performed only in ISKCON)…I thought that if Lord Krishna would have really arrived in front of these devotees what would they do?....i was astonished to see the love for their LORD….In ISKCON I experienced that the people out there didn’t discriminate rather took everyone as equals…

The environment of ISKCON seemed to me like an utopian world…If I get another chance I would really love to visit this Utopian world again…..

ARTICLE REVIEW

ROOKIE ROCKSTAR

By Geetika Sasan Bhandari (INDIA TODAY, April17, 2006)

Have you ever heard of a person called Himesh Reshammiya? If No, then you must read the article published in India Today, April17, 2006 edition in the name of Rookie Rockstar. This article written by Geetika Sasan Bhandari peeps into the life and transformation of this great music composer to a rockstar.

Himesh Reshammiya a true mom’s child lives with his parents and believes in only his best buddy. But his song like Ashiq Banaya Apne are breaking records and climbed the ladder of the Planet M charts to remain unbeatable for 15weeks.Once termed as a music composer he is now called as a Rockstar. From the very beginning he remained an un-noticed rockstar. From the time of signing a film with Salman Khan at the age of 18, he climbed the ladder of success with sheer hardworking and immense belief in himself. He dedicates his success to the Divine Intervention.

So what’s the USP of his success? I feel that his success came at a time when all the viewers wanted to hear a fresh voice. The author writes about his vocal chords amazingly placed near the nose helped him to emerge as a rockstar. Its true as the people came to hear a new voice with an in built Bass in it. His other USP according to the author lies in his way of dressing. His retrosexual looks including Versace belts, Cavalli T-shirts truly gives an international look which attracts the viewers to him. It’s true that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in which he was a judge also helped him to be visible to the public at a time when he needed the most. The article written by Geetika Sasan Bhandari is a very balanced one, however she could have included more details into his style of singing. The article is worth reading not only for Himesh Reshammiya fans but also for everyone who wants a sneek peak into the life of this great Rockstar.

INVASION OF EXPRESSION

How can ever the government of the largest democracy of the world can do this....After 07/11 i.e. after the Serial blasts in Mumbai,India when the bloggers like us wrote to the world about the bad disaster management dept of India, the government of India not only blocked the blogs but also blocked the whole of www.blogspot.com creating an invasion to the right of speech......

How can a Government even do this?....when it is the right of every citizen of India to express their thoughts....itz like an invasion to the privacy of a person....when the disaster management system of India is not well then whts the fear of accepting tht.....This is like communism taking over democracy.....The reason that was given by the Govt of India was that since it didn't have the technology to block particular blogs it blocked BLOGSPOt and many other blog sites....What Shit is this?......do u think that there will be any takers for such justification....

Instead of blocking blogs the government should think how to evade from such terrorist attack....there are 10 different teams for tracking the terrorism out-fits in India...but no such team could get a hint of such attacks...because there is no co-ordination among the teams...instead of making 10 different teams, all these teams could be included in just a single team so as to increase the efficiency and the co-ordination......

So please think before you block any sites...because if you can't give a safe place to live in you are also not allowed to take anything from the citizens.....

An open road,
A myriad of colours,
The strummung of a guitar.
Half closed eyes,
A heart full of secret desires,
Hidden-In its deepest recesses.

A clawing feeling inside.
My mind driftsInto a realm unknown.
A vision appears-One I don't understand.
Yet, I smile.
A yearning inside,But I don't know why.
What am I looking for?
Yet I carry on-Searching,
For that one thing
That'll make
My life complete...

THE OTHER SIDE OF ME!!!!

Dual Personalities, The evil side, The darker side…..What does all these remind u of?....Some dark mysteries lurking behind us….Is it a kind of shadow which keeps following us when we don’t want it to?....so what is this other side?....everyone in this world may he/she be a child, a teenager, an adult or an old man has a other side…..Sounds interesting!!!!

So what is this other side all about?.....The other side is the other personality which is hidden in a dark corner of our mind and heart….This other side always keeps the spirit inside happy….When ever a person is sitting alone this other side helps in day dreaming or escapades….Some has an evil and some has an good other side…when this other side of us prevails over our own outer personality people start having dual personality….

It may be possible that in our daily chores we forget our other side but our side is always ready to come out when we are in an unconscious state of mind….How many times have you thought after reacting in a different way that what made you react in that way….or have you ever thought that why r u thinking the way you are thinking now and always all of your questions remains unanswered right?....

So how this other side takes birth in a human being?....sometimes many of our dreams in terms of what we want to achieve in life remains un-fulfilled or rather we forget our real dreams and our life takes a different course….These unfulfilled dreams takes birth into the other side…It may be possible that you wanted to become an army man but you became an engineer instead, however when a war like situation(quarrel) etc comes on your way the other side of you takes over and you start behaving in a rebellious manner….the vice versa can also be possible where an army man starts behaving like an engineer when he sees a marvel of engineering…..

The Sweet Venom of the Scorpion: The Diary of a Call Girl

Just two months ago, Raquel Pacheco was making a living as a high-end call girl, turning tricks with up to five men a day in an apartment in a swank neighborhood of Sao Paulo, Latin America's financial hub.

Back then she went by her nom de guerre, Bruna Surfistinha, or Bruna the Surfer Girl. She has since left the business and become a best-selling author who spends her days rushing to interviews, promoting her book on the radio and appearing on late-night TV talk shows.

Her book, "The Sweet Venom of the Scorpion: The Diary of a Call Girl," is a vivid account of the three years that the 21-year-old Pacheco spent selling her body for money. Written in the slang of a middle-class teen-ager from Sao Paulo, it is part diary, part blog and even offers how-to tips for readers looking to spice up their sex lives.

In just over a month, it has sold some 30,000 copies and is already in its third edition -- a huge success in a country where only a fraction of the population reads books. It also ranks third on Brazil's bestseller list for nonfiction books, neck and neck with international hits like "Freakonomics" by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner.

Though Brazil is the world's largest Roman Catholic country, sex is far from a taboo subject. Brazilians of all social classes frequently flaunt their sexuality, donning skimpy clothing even in formal settings. X-rated magazines hang in plain sight at newsstands. The government distributes free condoms as part of its AIDS prevention program. And prostitution is legal, although pimping is not.

Still, the book's success was a surprise to Pacheco, who turned to prostitution after running away from home when she was 17 and now lives with her boyfriend, a former customer.

"I thought people would be curious, not necessarily about my life, but about the life of a call girl," she said. "But I didn't think the reaction would be like this. I never thought I would be famous."

FROM BLOG TO BOOK

In truth, Pacheco was already flirting with fame before her book. Lonely and eager to vent, she started writing about her experiences with customers in a blog that became so popular it was profiled in several Brazilian magazines. These days the site (http://www.brunasurfistinha.com/blogs/) rarely focuses on sexual escapades, but it still gets about 20,000 hits a day.

It was the blog that drew publishers to Pacheco, who had boasted on the site that she was writing a book. She rejected three offers to put her story in print before finally signing with a small publishing house called Panda Books, which hired a journalist to help her organize her ideas into a book.

"Once I started reading the blog, I was hooked," said Marcelo Duarte, the book's publisher. "It had all the ingredients of a good soap opera -- family drama, love stories and lots of sex."

Duarte thought it would be popular with men, but he did not imagine that the story of a prostitute would be such a big hit with women, who have been buying the book in droves.

Still, Rosely Sayao, a psychologist who studies sexual behavior, said the book's popularity among women makes sense.

"The idea of a call girl, of a prostitute, is something that many women fantasize about," she said. "Women want to be a lover to their partner, and in many people's minds, a prostitute is someone who knows how to be the perfect lover."

The book has also raised eyebrows overseas. Duarte is in talks to publish it in Portugal and Spain, and is entertaining offers to sell the rights to turn it into a movie.

That possibility prompted one Brazilian web site to ask its readers in a survey who should play Pacheco on the big screen. The top pick was soap opera star Mel Lisboa, who became famous playing a teen-age vixen who seduced an older man.

With money in the bank and a bestseller on her resume, Pacheco says she plans to finish high school and go to college to study psychology. She also wants to find a job but worries she will have a hard time getting hired because of her past.

"I don't know if I'm going to be accepted," she said. "Even though I'm not a prostitute anymore, in some people's eyes I still am."

Save Narmada

The Hindu Headline of 16th April

Narmada Dam Talks Deadlock....

Narmada was once a free-flowing river...Yes, free and flowing defines the true feature of the river...however one of the greatest rivers of India-NARMADA is dying due to technological negligence...Narmada emerges from "AMARKANTAK" a place in Madhya Pradesh...

In 1980s it was decided taht a number of large, small and very small dams will be built on the river NARMADA for generating Hydro-electricity...however this has proved to be a bolt from the blue to the humanity who are residing near the banks of narmada.....

Suddenly the NARMADA is dying...itz no more a free and flowing river but it has been converted into a man-made lake by building dams...the flora and fauna which used to strive in the river once is dying...The building of Dams has submerged many habitation near the banks...many people has lost homes, lost lands and lost livlihood because of making these dams on NARMADA...

Many NGOs have been really trying to stop building of Dams on the river...the greatest movement to save Narmada is now called as -"NARMADA BACHAO"....the movements have been goin in vain coz the height of the dams on the river Narmada is being increased day by day....

A time will come when tis great flowing river will die due to Technological and Human Negligence....Itz high time that we save NARMADA now or else delete the river from our Geographical Map forever....

Disaster Management

A Satellite Photo of TSUNAMI

Tsunami, Earthquakes, Cyclone-What does these remind you of?....destruction, loss of life and property...Wht does your Govt do when your country is hit with the above?.....

It happened wth India when Tsunami struck The Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as the coastal region of India....Govt of India was caught red-handed and it came out to the citizens of India that India was not well equipped for the Disaster Mangement, however India took good lessons frm it to emerge as a winner....

So what this Disaster Mangement all about....well to paraphrase it its about managing Disaster...how you utilise the resources to the maxim so that with the resources you can help the people rehabilate....

A govt shld have a disaster management fund where it should put some money from the Forex reserve so that it can be utilised in a proper way...The other way can be also to include the NGO's of the country to the disaster management system as the NGO's are well equipped to knw the needs of the local people for whom they work....The resources like food, petrol, communication systems can be brought from the surplus parts of the country to the disaster hit areas...

A robust communication system should be established in the Disaster Prone areas so that if all the communication systems fail this can be used properly at the time of a big Disaster....Alarm systems should be made robust in these areas so that if by chance a Disaster hits the people of that part of the country can be alerted......A kind of make-shift area should also be marked near the Disaster Prione areas so that people can be taken to the areas in case of emergencies....

I don't know whether these can be implemented officially but it was just a suggestion for the people of the country to know if they want to know...

Descendant of Stone Age skeleton found

LONDON (Reuter) British scientists Saturday celebrated their feat of tracing a living descendant of a 9,000-year-old skeleton and establishing the world's oldest known family tree. In an astonishing piece of detective work, they matched mitochondrial DNA material extracted from the tooth cavity of Britain's oldest complete skeleton with that of a 42-year-old history teacher, Adrian Targett. The genetic material showed without doubt that Targett is a direct descendant through his mother's line of the skeleton known as Cheddar Man, which was found in 1903 in caves in Cheddar Gorge in southwest England. "It is extraordinary that the DNA survives at all, but we were able to extract it and sequence it," said Bryan Sykes of Oxford University's Institute of Molecular Medicine. "They would have shared a common ancestor about 10,000 years ago, so they are related." Targett lives about a kilometer from the caves where Cheddar Man was found. Previous tests have shown that Cheddar Man suffered a violent death at the age of about 23 in 7150 B.C. The Oxford University team spent months analyzing samples from the skeleton before taking DNA swabs from about 20 local people whose families had lived in the Cheddar area for generations. Targett, who teaches modern history, said he took part only to make up the numbers. "I was astonished when the scientists said I was the descendant. Appropriately enough, I am a history teacher, but I have to admit I know next to nothing about Cheddar Man. I suppose I really should try to include him in my family tree," he said. Targett can now boast a lineage millennia older than that of Britain's royal family, which traces its heritage back to A.D. 829. The oldest previously recorded relative was the great-great-great-great-grandfather of Confucius, who lived in China in the eighth century B.C. Scientists said the odds of finding a match were not as enormous as might appear, because of the relatively small number of people who lived in Britain during the Stone Age. Sykes said the discovery strengthened the theory that the ancestors of modern-day Britons were hunter-gatherers rather than farmers. "There has been an idea that most modern European are descended from farmers that came in from the Middle East about 10,000 years ago, reaching Britain about 6,000 years ago," Sykes told British Broadcasting Corp. radio. "This kind of evidence shows that is probably not true, and that modern Britons are in fact descended from the earlier inhabitants like Cheddar Man who existed on hunting and gathering and who were not farmers." Scientists said they were hoping to use the same technique of sampling mitochondrial DNA to prove whether Neanderthals, who died out about 25,000 years ago, were linked to modern humans or were a completely different species. Professor Chris Stringer, a researcher at the Natural History Museum, said, "This work may finally let us end a 150-year-old argument which has existed since a Neanderthal man fossil was first found." Targett, an only child who has no children, was still coming to terms with the idea of having a Stone Age man as a relative. But his wife, Catherine, said, "Maybe this explains why he likes his steaks rare."

LOVE THY ALL

Have you ever been in LOVE....

I would say the loveliest word in the Dictionary is:::LOVE......whnever you hear this word somethin clings in your ears right?...itz like a sweet poison which kills people in the world in a positive way...Yes, Right you get killed by it...I will say it how?

You fall in Love...you never rise in Love..the biggest irony lies in this sentence itself...when you describe love in such a sweet way how can we say that you fall in LOVE...but we all FALL in LOVE.....This kills....You die to meet the person you love...you die to share your feelings with the person and ultimately when you share all the feelings you feel like you are in HEAVEN ...right?...This is virtual Dying in LOVE and it KILLS you.....VIRTUALLY....

Never leave a person whom you LOVE coz you will die literally as the LIFE(whom you love) and the HEARTBEAT will stop ultimately......go into deeper meanings.....

This same thing happened wth me a few days back whn the person i LOVED the most left me...however i felt that my LIFE and my HEARTBEAT has started again today as i talked to her today after a two weeks long time...THIS IS LOVE.....You can't forget the person whom you love coz he/she is a part of you...How can you Forget yourself?....is it possible....

Never FALL in love always Rise in LOVE....

CRIMINALS-By the People,For the People and of.....

DEMOCRACY-By the people, For the People and Of the people......but has democracy lost itz true ethos in the current world....may be the voting system still emphasises on the same ,however if the poeple to be elected are such that they are good for nothing, how can we think of a good and robust democracy......

If we see the current list of the ministers in the LOk SABHA of India we will find atleast 30% of the politicians had previous crminal records.....not only criminal records they are academically and knowledge challenged people, who don't the ABC of politics....forget about managing their own constituency.....

The recent increase of quota system in the PG courses shows very clearly that the only thing the ministers know is that how to increase their VOTE BANK without thinking of the long term impact on the country.....In the current corporate scenario where the economy of India is booming the step is a backward step to regress the economy of India and to progress the vote bank....

Its high time that the ELECTION COMMISSION of India take this issues of Criminals in the PARLIAMENT or the time wouldn't be far enough when instead of Politicians we will have criminals in the parliament....

GO DEEP INSIDE

Pick not Flower

Raise not dust from the ground; it will enter into your eyes. Sprinkle some water on it that it may settle down and lie under your feet. A wrongdoer who is sorry for his wrongdoings profits more than the one who has never done wrong. To delve into a matter which matters little, is like raising dust from the ground. It does not need courage to be bold and blunt, sharp and rude; one has only to be shameless.

Pick not flowers, for it will detain you in your progress on the path, and as you go, they will only fade away. Look at them, therefore, and admire their beauty, and as you proceed on your journey, they will greet you with smiles all along the way.

If we pluck a flower and remove it from the tree, it will shrivel up and lose its fragrance. The flower can give its fragrance only as long as it is on the tree. Similarly, if we leave our correct state, that flower within the innermost heart will fade. We must remain connected to the tree which is the heart. If we leave the heart behind, then the flower in our heart will perish. This is what will happen if we go in search of praise and honors and positions for the sake of our pride. Then we will be like the flower that was plucked from the tree; all the good that we have will dry up within us.

FIRE and FIRE

When Fire meets Fire, the resulting higher and hotter flames may create a conflagration, which will either consume itself, and burn out - or light the darkness, and melt the ice and fear of negative thinking. The choice lies equally with both individuals.

AIR and AIR
When Air meets Air, there is a complete freedom of movement, little or no restriction. Thisblend can result in glorious mental, emotional and spiritual uplifting. But Air becomes pollutedwithout the winds of change, and Air can be whipped into frenzy of tornado under certain conditionsThe choice lies equally with both individuals.

EARTH and EARTH
When Earth meets Earth, this blend can build itself into a tall mountain of faith and strength- orcan instead become a dry desert, depending on which direction it takes. When agitated, the resultcan be earthquake, with volcanic repercussions. The choice lies equally with both individuals.

WATER and WATER
When Water meets Water, there is no resistance, resulting in a continual stream of inspiration, flowing eventually into greater ocean of enlightenment- or on the negative side, it may trickle intostagnant inlet, where there is no escape.Water cools the thirst but, when out of control, bringsdestructive floods. The choice lies equaly with both individuals.

FIRE and AIR
Air fans Fire, and causes it to burn more brightly, stimulating enthusiasm and excitement- orinciting passion and anger.Too much Fire can burn up the oxygen in Air, making it difficult to breathe- and too much Air, such as a strong wind, can cause a flame to flicker even more dimly. The choice lies equally with both individuals.

FIRE and EARTH
It is obvious which is stronger and more enduring of the two elements.Eaath remains where it isunless moved by inner explotion, or through outside forces. Fire charts its own course, ever reachingtowards the heavens. Fire can scorch Earth but never completely destroy it.Earth will supportFire, forming a stable foundation for its flames; yet too much Earth can bury the brightest Fire. The choicelies equally with both individuals.

FIRE and WATER
A large Fire can dehydrate or dry out small amount of Water, with excessive heat.On the other hand, large quantities of Water can extinguish Fire, put out its flames. Therefore, Fire instinctively eitherfears or respects Water, and vice versa. Both subconsciously sense the danger- that each is capableof completely destoying the other. The choice lies equally with both individuals.

EARTH and AIR
Earth contains Air and needs it, but Air neither contains Earth nor needs it.Earth is obligated to remainwhere it is, moving only through earthquake, volcanic or outside forces.Air has freed itself from suchrestrictions, moving above the Earth at whim, neither changing Earth nor long remaining. Earth isdetached from Air, seemingly unaware of its existence, until strong winds disturb the plants and flowers growing on its surface, rooted in its bosom. The outcome is determined by choice, which liesequally with both individuals.

EARTH and WATER
Water seeks a home, which it finds within the Earth, it penetrates Earth and moistening it, which isa blessing to the Earth- for it is Water's penetration alone that allows Earth to "mother" all forms of livingplants, trees and flowers. Without the Earth to moisten, Water's course is aimless and equally useless. But too much Water can turn Earth into mud or quicksand- and too little Water can be lost, can disappearwithin the mountainous masses of Earth. The outcome is determined by choice which lies equally with both individuals.

AIR and WATER
Air penetrates Water.......stirs it, churns it into lashing waves......then moves away.........an infiltrationor attack over which Water has no control. When Water penetrates Air in the form of moisture, it causes Air to be heavy. But, in the process, it also brings to all of Nature the blessed relief of rain, magically changing Air into its own element, a transmutaion over which Air has no control. In the final analysis, there is no choice of outcome for either individual- only through Destiny's HigherWill.

STOP RESERVATIONS!!!!!

Whatz the shit is this!!!!

Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh may claim that it's just a proposal, but UPA Government's attempts to increase reservations from the present 22.5 per cent to 49.5 per cent in prestigious educational institute's like Indian Institute's of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management and other institutes of higher education, is brewing up a storm. This is injustice to not only the deserving candidates but also an unhealthy partiality in genuine competition will result in long term impact of unbalanced and biased society at large. This is threat to INDIAN concept of balanced and equal opportunity to all. Instead of taking mileage out of cheap politics to kill real talent they could make education subsidized for needy one be it any cast of society.

Don't you think that it will stop the BRAINY PEOPLE(like me!!!) from going to the premier institutions of INdia....The constitution of INDIA says that Equal Oppurtunity for All the cItizens....but it proves to be the bolt to the CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.....Now seeing the CORRUTION levels in India, every child's parents will try to make an OBC or ST or SC certificate for his children.....and giving bribe to the officials its possible in INDIA....and indirectly add to the corrution levels among the officials....

In the long term effect, the meritous students may commit suicide as well, which will deplete the talent pool of India....STOP UPA or this policy may kick you back

Play With Words

Verbose----Do you knw wht does it mean?.....well exactly the meaning is that you have to play with your your words......

In this world of corporates you will be able to hear and see it everywhere-from HR managers to your DEADLY boss....They promise a lot but give hardly anything to you.....You make a fool out of your client or the people you deal with in your day to day life...i call it HYPOCRITES....when you can't do a thing for someone why do u make him believe that.....

The biggest CON MAN i would say in any corporates are the HR managers...they promise you with lotz of things and make you believe that the company you are working for is a HEAVEN, however it turns out to be a real HELL when you survive in that Company.....

A GOLDEN RULE----When people at your corporations saysomething that has "IF' or "BUT" or "HOWEVER" you can be rest assured what ever you are said will not be implemented or not be done.....

Catch It if You Can

Two Fundoo Quotes i found on the net:"First I was dying to finish high school and start college; then was dying to finish college and start working; then I was dying to marry and have children; then I was dying for my children to get old enough for school so I could return to work; and then I was dying to retire. Now I am dying and suddenly, I realize I forgot to live."

Think IBM-Lenovo

All of you must be aware that IBM has given itz "Thinkpad" and "Thinkcenter" brands to Lenovo.....
IBM says in itz website
IBM:::Lenovo has the leading position in the fastest growing market in the world. Their acquisition of IBM's PC business makes them the third largest PC supplier in the world. In addition, the people of ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops are now part of the Lenovo team -- the award-winning engineers, the manufacturing teams, the sales representatives, the business partners. In short, the people you know. The ones you count on.

So wht does it mean? May be Lenovo has become the third largest PC supplier in the world, however acquisition of IBM's PC by Lenovo may hit IBM in the long term.....

So How?

People who believed in the brand of PCs by IBM will move to some other brands like HP Compaq or Toshiba or Dell......This will in turn decrease the consumer base of IBM and also Lenovo.....Since the consumers have a percetion that since Lenovo is a Chinese Brand it may decrease the quality of the products of PC parts to maximise on the profit......this aquisition may hit other IBM & Lenovo products as the consumers may stop believing in IBM and may not trust Lenovo completely....

The final outcome of the aquisition of IBM by Lenovo can only written with conviction after one or two fiscal years......

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty. He said, "No." She asked him if he would want to be with her forever, and he said, "No." She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once again he replied, "No." She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said, "You're not pretty you're beautiful. I don't want to be with you forever, I NEED to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away -- I would die."

Two Species of Human Beings

There are two species of Human Beings according to a recent survey.

You don't believe this right? Well the species are--Simple Human Beings and the Terrorists.....Simple Human beings is the Species who like peace and harmony and strive to make gud to this world and the Other Species Terrorists gets enjoyment from the Blood of the Other half of the Genre....

The recent attack at the Sankat Mochan Temple at Varanasi,India shows how much they enjoy the blood of the innocent people..... How on the earth they can kill other people to show their own stupid useless anger.....

The Terrorists have been killing innocents to prove their point time and again...if u remember the serial bOMb blasts in delhi before diwali is a burning example.......wht do the terrorists think they will achieve in killing people.....These are the acts of coward people disguised as braveness(stupid thinking)......

The modus operandi of the terrorists has always been luring young people who want fast money or they have some kind of grievences against their own Govt.

well Before writing more about this newly Discovered Species I will do a bit of research(not tht Hi-Fi) one and post in my upcoming articles

New Marketing Strategy

Can u seethe Hoarding?

Marketing- The Buzz world in the corporate world. You must have seen all types of Marketing Strategies being used by different companies to attract the consumer base and also to market their products.

The Marketing Department of a particular organization mainly use the Mass Media for their marketing strategies.

However, today as i was coming from the office i saw a new Marketing Strategy. It was a hoarding on the back of an elephant in the city like Delhi. Can u Imagine? Though very interesting. I will try to use the same if it doesn't look funny in my organisation. Check out the picture for that.

But does these type pf marketing helps.Surely it helps in a big City like delhi where it is really hard to see an elephant on the road.

So how does it help?....when people see such a huge animal on the road they get to see the Hoarding though not intentionally, and they come to know about the particular product. It helps the elephant also as it gets free food from the people surrounding it.

Good or Evil

In black you can read the word GOOD, in white the word EVIL (inside each black letter is a white letter). It's all very filosophical too, because it visualises the concept that good can't exist whithout evil (or the absence of good is evil ).

BUDGET-2006 DEMYSTIFIED

I am not a economist or The Finance Minister who can find out all the Flaws or analyse the complete structure of India’s Economic Budget-2006. Well in this article, I will write down the ups and downs of the budget for me.

Every year the Budget is awaited for with lots of anticipation. This year Finance Minister P.Chidambaram declared the budget for India for the Fiscal Year 2006-07. Though this budget is an average budget with a high anticipation to take India’s GDP growth to 10%, it makes a hole in the pockets of the Common Man or the Middle Class to some extent.

1) The Service Tax has been increased from 10% to 12%--- Well that directly means whatever services I am going to take, I will have to pay extra. The Biggest downside is that I will have to shell out more money to recharge my cell phone. When BSNL is launching IndiaOne plan this is a bolt from the blue for the middle class. I was rejoicing that I will be able to call all my relatives at just Rs1 per min but alas. Now even I go to watch a movie in my fav theatre PVR I will have to spend more for a single ticket, and keeping in mind the cost of the ticket is already sky-rocketing with a single ticket costing Rs.150. And also I have to pay more to withdraw from an ATM other than my Bank. Thanks FM!!!!!

2) All important Finished goods to cost more----Well I was planning to by an I-Pod. Now even if I go ahead to buy that I think I have to pay around Rs1500 more which will take the cost to around Rs16000. Even the cost of imported cell-phones will increase and thanks now I can sell out my phone and I will get a better price however again I have to shell out more money to buy a new one. Oh!!! A Vicious Circle again.

3) Duty on Packaged Software Increased----If I want to buy some Good software now then I have to search Pallika Bazaar or Nehru Place for the Pirated ones, coz the prices of Original software are already high and adding increased Duty on it will make them beyond reach.

India's JUDICIARY a Crap or a Scapegoat ?

India- The largest Democracy of the world with one of the oldest JUDICIARY system. But the greatest question lies " Has India's Juciary Failed?". The current Jessica Lal's case brings a sense of doubt in the mind of the citizens of India.

Is it the real failure of India's Judiciary or there is something else ?

If we see the JUDICIARY structure of India, it shows at the first instance that there are no flaws in it,however the case is something totally different. India's Judiciary consists of --
a)The Supreme Court of India
b) The High Courts
c) and The Lower Courts
A case starts from the lower court and if the verdict given is not justifiable then the case moves to the Higher Courts(including Supreme Court). The Criminal Laws of India gives a high importance to the Eye-Witnesses.

In the current scenario, a case which has created a hue and cry in the Judiciary is the "Jessica Lal's murder case" at the Olive bar. The killers have been acquited due to lack of eye-witnesses and enough evidence.

But is the JUDICIARY of India is to be blamed for this ? I don't think so. The Judge gave all the verdict keeping in all the evidences that have been shown in the court.....then where lies the PROBLEM?......

The biggest PROBLEM lies with the CORRUPTION at Lower levels like the POLICE and the Investigative agencies who collects evidences for a particular case. Taking the example of Jessica Lal's case , the evidences were either deleted or changed or supressed by the Corrupt Police Officials. The TWO GUN THEORY put forward in this example shows the real corruption at the lower levels.....

so why te JUDICIARY of India is made the SCAPEGOAT?....there are though some minute problems with the JUDICIARY.....there is no EYE-WITNESS protection plan which can safe guard the eye-witnesses from the evil people of the society who wants to change the course of a case.....and also " JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED".......there is no time-frame to give the verdict of a case...in this case the verdict delays and sometimes by the time a verdict is given the accussed is dead as a duck........some cases drag for around even 20 odd years.....

So if some of the changes are made to the JUDICIARY and above all CORRUPTION is curbed at the lower level , the citizens of India will start Trusting the Judiciary of India

DON'T KILL

How many times have u killed a small ant just because of fun? or hunted down an innocent frog just to show your chivalry?........

well today i killed a small ant just because of i felt doing so...and i m have a grave feeeling of guilt......every organism however small has the right to survive(except viruses).....every one in this world is a part of a very delicate ecosystem.....however a small organism has the right to survive in this world......

as human beings we should protect every organsim....for them we are giants and we misuse the power for being the most superior organism.....

How wld we feel someday if some Giant animal starts killing us.....itz so heartening to see the poaching of Majestic Tigers and exotic birds just for some monetery gain or to hang them on our walls to show them up.......Hve u ever thght that if your skin is being hanged or wore around as a cloak by some other animals?......how would u feel?......very disgusting right?......itz the same feeling that the animals have, may b they are less expressive than us and don't have the power of speech to voice agianst us......being a wildlife Enthuastic and spending a lot of time with the wild animals in the jungles, i started feeling that itz so lovely to see the beautiful animals in the jungles......

help "PETA"......

Not only animals, itz so sad to see that PEOPLE killing PEOPLE......wht fun do we have in killing other people?......they are the psychotic person who do so......just because a particular person or a nation has more power doesn't mean that they will start showing off by killing.....

We are the buliding blocks of the future generation....wht examples are we setting for them?......have you ever thght wht will happen to the world if everyone starts practicing "AN EYE FOR AN EYE".....itz so senseless.....

So peoples of the world help to make the WORLD a place free of killers( poachers included).......
